LASSR President Dr. Ramona AL Danaf Participates in Civil Society Workshop on the Abolition of the Death Penalty in Lebanon – Sin El Fil, 10 October 2026

The President of the Lebanese Association for Sustainability and Social Responsibility (LASSR) Dr. Ramona Al Danaf participated in a civil society workshop entitled “The Abolition of the Death Penalty in Lebanon: From Struggle to Achievement,” organized by the Lebanese Association for Civil Rights (LACR) in cooperation with the French association Together Against the Death Penalty (ECPM).

Held on 10 October 2026 at Padova Hotel in Sin El Fil, the workshop brought together participants to reflect on the historic achievement of abolishing the death penalty in Lebanon, review the nonviolent advocacy efforts that contributed to this milestone, and discuss ways to promote a more humane justice system grounded in human rights and respect for the right to life.
